Privacy Policy

JPP Inc. (“JPP”) shall treat information that can identify individuals involved in psychological tests conducted by certified users (“Personal Information”) in accordance with the following policy.

1. Compliance with Law, etc.

JPP shall comply with the Personal Information Protection Act, other applicable laws and regulations setting forth the treatment of Personal Information, and JPP’s internal rules.

2. Acquisition and Use of Personal Information

In order to conduct a psychological test, JPP shall acquire a testee’s Personal Information such as name, age, gender, place of work, phone number, e-mail address, occupation, marital status, etc., personally from the testee.

  • JPP shall use a testee’s Personal Information for the following purposes: - Conducting research based on the psychological test; and - For other activities incidental or relating to the above.
  • When acquiring Personal Information of a testee through its website, JPP shall clarify the purpose of use thereof, and also in other cases, notify or announce the purpose of use. JPP shall not use the testee’s Personal Information beyond the scope necessary for attaining the above-mentioned purposes unless it receives the testee’s prior consent or it is permitted by law.

3. Management of Personal Information

JPP shall take necessary measures to prevent any leakage, loss, damage, or unauthorized access to any Personal Information, and manage testees’ Personal Information in a proper manner. JPP shall properly supervise its employees’ handling of testees’ Personal Information, and when it entrusts the handling of testees’ Personal Information to a third party, it shall also supervise the entrustee’s proper management of Personal Information.

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

Unless JPP obtains a testee’s prior consent, it is required by law, JPP entrusts Personal Information to the extent necessary for the attainment of the purpose of use, or it is otherwise permitted by law, JPP shall not provide the testee’s Personal Information to any third party. JPP may disclose the spread of psychological test results of testees only to certified users on the website, but will discontinue the disclosure upon special request, so please inform JPP of your request, if any.

5. Joint Use of Personal Information

JPP shall use Personal Information such as a testee’s name, age, gender, place of work, marital status, assessment results, etc. jointly with the Japan MBTI Association for the purpose of use listed in “2. Acquisition and Use of Personal Information.” In that case, JPP shall be responsible for such use.

6. Disclosure, Correction or Suspension of Use of Personal Information

If you wish to request the disclosure, correction, suspension of use or notice of purpose of use, etc. of your Personal Information, please contact the secretariat mentioned below. Upon receipt of the testee’s request for disclosure, etc., JPP shall confirm that the request was made by the testee him/herself, and respond to the request as stipulated by law.

7. Inquiries

If you have any comments or questions regarding the content of the Policy or JPP’s handling of Personal Information, please contact the secretariat mentioned below. JPP shall respond to any comments received from a testee regarding JPP’s handling of Personal Information in an appropriate and prompt manner.

8. Others

JPP shall endeavor to review and improve the Policy as necessary based on testees’ comments and in line with amendments of laws, etc. JPP shall announce any amendment to this Policy by posting it on JPP’s homepage, so regular confirmation thereof would be appreciated.
